technology, called computer telephony integration,automates
call answering and enables users to manage different types
of messages from either a personal computer or a telephone.
Computer telephony integration is providing a solution to
the problem of message management. Users can now access and
manage their messages from the terminal of their choice- the
telephone or the personal computer- whether they're in the
office or at a remote location. No longer must they check
these places to access their voice mail, facsimiles, and electronic
mail.
